A soon as babies are old enough, around two-ish, it is time to tell them how to make the ultimate Swedish chocolate balls.

Because it is actually so easy to make and so important to know that you can start any time to learn.

In case you are not familiar with this book:

I will now tell you the secret, Swedish recipe:

Swedish Chocolate balls:

  • 200 g butter,
  • 1 cup sugar,
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla powder,
  • 4-6 tbsp. cacao,
  • 3 cups oat flakes,
  • 4-6 tbsp. cold, strong coffee.

Blend together, by hand, roll balls in prefered size. Wash and dry your hands. Then roll the balls in coconut flakes. Serve and eat or let them stay in the fridge for a while.

So which way to serve them makes them look most inviting?

The Red Plate

The Green Plate

Of course it is possible to change the recipe to suit all kinds of diets!

Feel free to comment about any questions concerning this recipe, and I will try to answer the best way I can.

I wish you a beautiful day!

  1. Yum! I don’t care about the plate, they look scrumdiddlyumptios! I have a recipe which is really fiddly to make it has peanut butter in the mix, then rolled in melted choc, very messy this recipe looks quick, easy and delicious Lotta thanks for sharing it.
